The Law of Balance or Equipoise (fair exchange): This is an elaboration and continuation of the law of equalities. The law of balance is a universal law that supersedes all of man's laws, creating stability for all third dimension manifestations. Each thought must be balanced by whoever that creates it. This is divine wisdom! We must allow all viewpoints without feeling that we must defend your own. We must allow no one to tell us what our journey must reflect or what our reality is. We should not give our power away so easily, but must give our love unconditionally. Any message communicated with love validates equality. Low self esteem is just as non productive as a puffed up sense of self esteem. They both deny equality. Another manifestation of the imbalance of this law is addiction.
The Law of Balance is based on the fundamental that all energy must be in a constant state of balance. For every action there is a reaction! The energy of the universe is continuously flowing from action to reaction in search of balance to achieve harmony.
The integration of polarities: The term 'polarity' means opposing forces with no competition between them. The forces collectively move towards a harmonized objective, resulting in growth. Duality is opposing forces of energy which have taken on a personality and have therefore become competitive, playing one against the other through judgment and competition, and thereby creating the ego as part of the incarnated personality. We live on a plane of duality and need to exercise the Law of Balance to create a polarity of male/female, positive/ negative energies to achieve harmony and integration. The Law of Balance when integrated into our being is one of the first steps to enlightenment.
This is the key to life. Balance is the nature of maintaining order within the divine universe. Each entity makes choices to exist, when these choices are made in conjunction with the flow of the energy, entities and events, balance is maintained.
The Balance of Life and Spirit
The divine Universe was created by energy as a means to expand itself into matter. In metaphysical theory, that was the very first act of balance, balancing spiritual energy and physical matter.
Living in Balance
Many people these days are taking a good look at themselves and their lives. They look at how they interact with their family unit, how they conduct themselves within business matters and how much time they spend on making the all mighty rupee and the illusive career. People are trying to find the right balance of life's daily events. Wither on a conscious level or spiritually sub-conscious level.
Perhaps it is because the common idea of what a "spiritual person is", can often be far beyond our capabilities to attain. We look in a mirror and condemn ourselves for something we did that was "non-spiritual". We may say I've "fallen from grace" and then beat ourselves up about it later. But we try the next day to aspire to the illusive image again.
It is great to have lofty goals, as long as we can attain some of them once in a while. But one thing to remember is that our existence as incarnated beings is only 50% of who we really are. We are also 50% spiritual. As such we have human desires, needs and emotions. Those human traits are not always conducive to spiritual thinking or spiritual ways of living. But we need not beat ourselves up about it.
There is some validity in the old adage "Too much of a good thing can still be bad for you". It's very true. Living too much in the spiritual mind and not being grounded isn't any better than those who live in the physical world and never give their spiritual natures a second thought, or a first one for that matter. It's an adage that tries to define living in extremes is not living in balance.
What we are here to learn above all, is balance. Through that lesson, we can learn acceptance, and how to let go of the past. Letting go doesn't mean loving those who hurt you, rather it means forgiving them within yourself and then letting go of the emotions to move on.
Many people think being a spiritual person means you don't cuss, you don't lie, you don't have bad thoughts and you don't drink, do drugs, or talk about sex. To some you don't even have fantasies or get angry or even say a bad word about anyone. Now if that's living as a spiritual person, then no one on this planet can call themselves spiritual. Being someone who is always pushed around emotionally because you believe that's what living as a spiritual person means, isn't living in balance. Perhaps your lesson would be to learn how to stand up for yourself, believing you have rights and your own emotions have validity.
If someone makes you mad, then accept the emotion for what it is. It is a human emotional response to a personal situation. Now isn't that what you're here to learn about? Aren't we here to experience human interactions and emotions on all levels in order to learn? How are you going to do that, if you don't "feel" any emotions?
Living in balance means keeping that anger in perspective. You don't take it out on someone else and you don't try to kill or fight with the person you are mad at. You just accept the emotion for what it is. If you lash out at the person who made you mad, then you will have to accept the consequences of the energy you created by doing so. Better to accept, let go, and allow the divine laws of karma to provide justice. If you act upon desires to avenge your emotions, you will be no better off than the person who hurt you.
Being spiritual means you trust in the Divine to take care of you, and allow the Divine forces of the universe to deliver justice to those who deserve it. Learn for yourself how to let go of the anger, let go of the hate and hurt, and move on with your life in balance.
We are all part human and part spiritual being. We need to accept those traits we see in ourselves as "un-spiritual". It is who you are. How can you ignore part of yourself? Better to address the part you don't care for and change it to a positive you do like. Bottom line is learning how to accept the human traits you have within your being. They're just as important as the spiritual gifts you're trying to attain.
