Moulli Ganguly, the versatile actress who became popular with the role of "Shaina" in "Kahin Kisi Roz" on Star Plus, "Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam" on Sahara and was appreciated for her debut in Ajay Devgan-Aishwariya Rai starrer film "Raincoat" directed by Rituparna Ghosh, is currently seen in "Sarrkkar" on Zee. Here she speaks about her thoughts and beliefs.
I am a very private person. I would describe myself as a blend of modern and traditional woman. To strike the right balance is a must. I am a practical person. I have a quality called clarity of thought and I am a perfectionist.
Bengalis are more into literature, music, arts and plays. They are generally well read, have creative interests and open to suggestions. Mostly they indulge in extra-curricular activities like singing, dancing and painting.
It is an ice cream which one should it before it melts. Life is like a school and the learning goes on as long as you live. Life is precious and we should respect and live it wisely. We take life so seriously but life can finish in a second so it is best to make the most of it living in present. Life is an ocean of experiences.
I am not at all religious. I don't believe in following any rituals, as they are man-made. For me God is like a sky and religion is a window. I feel God is closest to a child and a child prays with purity. One must keep one's soul clean and connect with GOD.
It is a journey and not a destination. To me being successful in entertainment industry means being there in the entertainment industry. Fame means people should know for your work. To me fame means when people recognize me instantly without requiring an introduction.
It is a beautiful emotion, which is very special because of the pain, and heartbreaks, which makes it exclusive. Love involves sweet pain and an emotion, which has so much depth that it can't be put into words completely.
You can't choose your relatives but you can always choose your friends. Your friends reflect your personality. I am blessed with good friends.
To me it means cleaning of the soul connecting with ultimate power and being in harmony with the nature. Spiritualism gives peace reducing confusion and increasing clarity. Life becomes comparatively simpler if you are spiritual.
I am today´s woman, but have the traits of a traditional woman. Women know who they are. But I feel some women of present times are more manly than feminine. Dignity of a woman and the way she conducts herself makes all the difference.
Money is important in life. But one should rule money and not let it rule you. Money is for man and man is not for money.
On and off there are phases when I believe in them and there are phases when I don't. I am not a hard-core believer.
Live and let live is the best and practical way to live.
